Watertown, New York (Wurny)

The Suny Potsdam’s Crane School is proud to announce a new Bachelor of Science song about its rigorous program in the music business. This non-Audit program offers flexibility for students demonstrating musicality in a variety of instruments and styles and is created to offer additional opportunities beyond the Bachelor rank of Crane’s long music in the same field.

“Bachelor of Science in Music Business is the first university program of the music school of music. While students still have to show musicality, they will do so beyond the restrictions of our traditional audition process, which is limited, especially , in 20 specific instruments. themselves as students of cranes, ”said the Temporary Dean Music School Dr. David Heuser.

The revised BS program in the music business offers a flexible opportunity, accessible to students interested in pursuing a career in the music business industry, without the official audition and the teaching requirements of Bachelor of Music. This degree is designed to support students who want to explore the music industry from a broad perspective.

“BS in the music business at Suny Potsdam offers a flexible path for students passionate about the music industry. With a focus on music, business and venture, the program is created for those who are interested in non-traditional instruments and genres. We welcome creative students who want to make an impact on both behind-scenes roles, on stage and developing fields, ”said assistant assistant to the Crane Music School, Dr. Tim Yip, the program coordinator.

By removing the need for an official performance audition, the program invites a wide range of musicians to Vinc, including electrical guitarists, self-singing singers and laptop creators.

The curriculum also offers flexibility in choosing music history courses, and there are fewer musical theories and ensemble requirements compared to the Bachelor of Music. By reducing ensemble requirements and eliminating studio lessons on the new road, the BS program allows students to focus on areas directly related to their career interests.

Students in both versions of the Major are required to receive practical experience in their chosen field through two practices. The Crane Institute for Music Business and Entrepreneurship helps connect students to practical opportunities in the field of music products, art administration, enrollment industry and the annual performance of NAMM.

The BS Business Program prepares students for employment in music, music business and business fields, such as the music product industry, registration industry, administrative positions of the arts and entertainment law, among other things. The scale combines guidelines on basic musical skills, with flexible options within the study of music, specific courses of music business, along with business subjects through the Department of Business Administration. The scale provides students with both music skills and knowledge, along with an updated understanding of practical experiences and practices in the music industry.
