UFC Champion aims at chicago PPV for protection of the first title

The UFC has not been in Agoikago for an event since 2019 for UFC 238, but it seems that the promotion could go back to the wind city this summer – at least this is what Belal Muhammad is hoping.

There is no specific date or name of the event, but the current UFC lightweight champion – a local Agoikagos – reportedly wants to return and defend his title for the first time in his hometown.

According to the report, which came from MMA Social Media Content Creator Krazy KevinMuhammad believes the event will take place in June.

UFC 316 potentially in Agoikago

UFC President Dana White has said in many cases that he plans to return to Agoikago in 2025, so the concept traces. Muhammad will defend his title against Shavkat Rakhmonov whenever he returns to the octagon.

Muhammad and Rakhmonov were scheduled at the main UFC 310 event in Las Vegas in December 2024. However, a bone infection pushed Muhammad out of war. Rakhmonov stayed on the card and scored a fierce victory for the decision against Ian Machado Garry to strengthen his country as another in line for the title.

If Muhammad is outside until June, he will have to overcome a nearly one -year -old break. Muhammad captured the title in July 2024 at UFC 304 in Manchester, England.

He defeated Leon Edvard in a long -awaited match to finally catch the title. If the Muhammad-Rrakhmonov War comes to realization, it is the main event.

Muhammad is a local, and based on the schedule, it is easy to see how UFC can potentially complement the main card with other prominent chicagoans. Yair Rodriguez fights outside Agoikagos.

He has a tough match with Diego Lopes on March 29. If he comes out of him mostly unsafe, is it crazy to think that he could return for another war in June? It can be pushing a little.

Jamahal Hill is another chicagoan and former champion of UFC. He just suffered a very physical loss of TKO to Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311 on January 18th. June would seem to be a great place for him to return. There are several opportunities for him, though he may have to fight someone listed below by coming out of back-back losses to Alex Pereira and Prochazka.

Heavy weight competitor Curtis Blaydes is another fighter from the Chicagoland area which would be a strong fit for a place on the card. Hopefully, this event joins Muhammad able to title and defend his title.
