The Trump Administration ends the main health advisory committees, threatening health equality

President Trump, through a executive orderCommanded the Department of Health and Human Services to terminate several health advisory committees, including the Long Covid Advisory Committee, as well as the Health Capital Advisory Committee for Medicare and Medicaid services.

As examples, individuals of certain racial ethnic groups, low -income families and those living in rural areas face significant obstacles in accessing high quality health. States with the largest population of black Americans have rates disproportionately higher of unsecured people.
